StartFragment Rotary Club of Stanford donated and installed four computers as well as a printer at Hoopland School. The school is well established now and the computers will be used primarily by the Grades 3 and 4 children. There was great interest from the children while the computers were being unpacked and installed, and they could barely contain themselves when they were allowed a close-up look.
The Rotary Club of Stanford delivered a Risograph duplicating machine to Masakhane Primary School in Gansbaai. The funds for this were raised by the Rotary Club of Derwentside (UK). The Risograph enables low cost production of bulk printing jobs that a busy school needs. It was with great sadness that we heard of Dave's death on Thursday 10th November as we had all met at our regular Wednesday evening meeting the day before. Dave was the newest member of Rotary Standford, but Dave being Dave, he jumped in with both feet and brought new ideas and suggestions to our small club.
