Friday 27 April 2018 leave Cape Town, South Africa and travel to just over the Namibian border.  Visit the Kokerboom forest and maybe more depending on time.  Will need to stretch our legs.  About a 10 min walk.

Saturday 28 April is a short drive through to Lideritz.

Saturday 28 & Sunday 29 April is the crayfish festival in Luderitz.

Monday 30 April drive up to close to the entrance gate to Sossusvlei.

Tuesday 1 May spend the day inside Sossusvlei.

Wednesday 2 May drive back to Luderitz.

Thursday 3 May to Saturday 5 May is the conference.

Sunday 6 May there are day excursions around Luderitz and also another session of the conference on inter-country projects which may be of huge interest to some.

Monday 7 May leave Luderitz and travel to the Fish River Canyon and spend the night there.

Tuesday 8 May travel back to Cape Town.

Costs at this stage per person:

Accommodation – about R5 500 for 11 nights

Petrol and car hire – about R2 100 (I am still working on finalizing this and reducing this cost if possible)

Conference fees and post-tour – about R2 600 (I have taken the worst case scenario here and includes all evening functions and a post-tour)(each of you will be able to do your own conference registration and paying of fees)

 

All this will leave you to find is money for drinks and food in some instances. 

 

To confirm your place on this tour you would need to deposit R5 000 asap to cover deposits required.  Limited to 12 or 13 persons. 

 

I am hoping to see lots of friends travelling up to Luderitz with me.
